Privacy Policy

The short version. Hooked doesn't collect any information about you. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and Hooked has no server of its own.

Who makes Hooked

Hooked is published by Artificer Made LLC, a small software company in Arkansas, USA. Where this policy says the developer, it means Artificer Made LLC. You can reach it at hello@artificermade.com.

Your patterns

The PDFs you add, and the details Hooked keeps about them (titles, tags, notes, your row counts and reading position), are stored on your device and in your own iCloud account, so they appear on your other devices. They're protected by your Apple Account. The developer can't see them.

AI in Hooked

Hooked uses only the AI that Apple builds into your device, and it runs on your device. Apple Intelligence suggests titles and tags when it's available; otherwise Hooked uses simple rules based on the file name and the pattern's text. Apple's on-device language tools help search find patterns by meaning, and Apple's text recognition reads the pages you scan. Your device may download these tools from Apple the first time they're needed, but nothing of yours is sent. Your patterns are never sent to an AI company, to Apple's cloud, or anywhere else to be analyzed, and they're never used to train AI. The only place they go is your own iCloud, so they appear on your other devices.

Tips

Tips are optional in-app purchases handled entirely by Apple. The developer receives no payment details or personal information from them — only Apple's anonymous sales totals.

Feedback

You can email the developer at hello@artificermade.com. The same address is in Settings → Send Feedback. If you do, your message and email address are used only to reply and to improve Hooked. They're never sold or shared, they're deleted once they're no longer needed, and you can ask for them to be deleted (or for a copy) at any time at the same address.

Deleting your data

Delete a pattern in Hooked and it's removed from your device and iCloud. To remove everything, delete Hooked from your device, then remove its data in the Settings app under your Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

Children

Hooked collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will appear in the app and on this page, with a new date.
